This policy explains how Carmen Flores for Central Unified School Board 2026 (“the campaign,” “we”) handles information on this website. We keep it simple: we only collect what you choose to give us, we use it to run the campaign, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Sign-up form: first and last name, email, phone number (optional), how you'd like to help, and any message you write.
- Community survey: the topics you pick, and your first name, email and ZIP code if you choose to share them.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our host receives standard information such as your IP address and browser type when you visit.
How we use it
- To send you campaign updates and event invitations.
- To contact you about volunteering, yard signs, hosting or endorsing.
- To understand what matters most to families in Trustee Area 4.
Texts and calls
If you give us your phone number, you agree to receive calls and text messages from the campaign, which may be sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of anything. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run this site and the campaign (such as our website host and email or texting tools), and only so they can do that work for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, including California campaign reporting rules.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies. We store your cookie choice in your browser so we don't ask again. If you click “OK,” we may use basic analytics to see which pages are helpful. If you click “No thanks,” no analytics run. Our fonts may load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
- Email us to see, correct or delete the information we have about you.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and limit access to campaign staff and volunteers who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive personal information through our forms.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
